With the pistol grip I can hold the hose on with one hand and pump with the other. I bought a pistole grip gun 20 years ago and would never go back to a lever gun. Kinda sounds stupid but I doubt I go thru 2 tubes of grease per year. I had the same problem with an air powered grease gun from HF. I guess, like most HF stuff, the final engineering is up to you. On some grease guns that are designed for the grease tubes or to be bulk loaded, one has to flip the rubber seal back over the follower base for the tube, and forward for the bulk grease. That generator looks exactly like the one I bought with “Torq” decals on it. They do not sell the 3pt generator in-store, only mail order. That’s fine I guess, but it also says for use in retail stores only. I have not had to use this for power outage but have tested it for about 8 hours and all seems well. Mudfarmer, I bought a Torq 15,000 watt and it looks exactly like the Harbor Freight version but has different decals on it. Seems no one has bought one and the strings get side tracked to other products. I see 10% coupons everywhere and I get a coupon in my American Legion Magazine that is good for 20% off any one item.that would really be an attractive price.
When you walk into one of those type of stores you can just smell the rubber. I havent noticed the smell so much as the increase in prices for their less than quality merchandise. I change tires rarely enough that it’s not a big deal to install/remove it each time it’s needed. Not doing tons of tires, I did not want to permanently bolt it to the floor. Have employees who go buy a new $25 bottle every time they lose the old one or it runs out in the toolbox with the cap off. I know at one time it said made in the USA on the back of the bottle… A grade 8 bolt should be grade 8 no matter whee it comes from. Companies are legally liable these days for their grades of chains and bolts.
What worked well enough for me was to bolt it to a sturdy pallet that I could stand on. I bought a Harbor Freight tire changer with a bit of skepticism and justifiability so. Needed it on the farm to repair flats quickly, but have used it for all kinds of truck tires, and implement tires. With heavier tires or tight beads you have to move the rim around and do it in several bites. Not the best piece in the world, but for 50 bucks at the time, good deal. I bought that tire changer about 2 years ago, and it has more then paid for itself over and over. I bought mine years ago from Northern and paid about 120 dollars now they are like, 40 at HF.
Like the smoked sausage industry, it’s likely made by either Permatex or Loctite and simply packaged in a HF labeled bottle. Like has been said – the stuff isn’t cheap and does nobody any good spread all over the bottom of a toolbox. I just use the stuff on them all. I don’t or can’t differentiate between those bolts that do or don’t need the “blue goo”. I don’t get 16 years per bottle, its probably 1 year. You can tell when you loosen the casino online gamespot bolt if the locker works the same.
